What virtual field trips do you offer?

We offer virtual alternatives to all of our on-site guided programs. All our programs include image inquiry, engaging discussions with trained educators, and activities. For more information, see the program descriptions.

How can I schedule a virtual field trip for my class?

To schedule a virtual field trip, please fill out our online booking form.

What web platform do you use for your virtual field trips?

We do most of our programs on Zoom, but please tell us which platform you use while booking and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences.

What happens if we are disconnected during our program?

If technical difficulties arise, our educators will work to reconnect with you for five (5) minutes. If technical issues persist after five minutes and less than 50% of your program time has elapsed, we will work to reschedule your program.

How should I prepare my students for the program?

Please review your program’s web platform with your students prior to your virtual field trip. There are also free additional resources available with suggestions for pre-program activities.

How many students are included in one class?

The maximum number of students per class is 32 students.

How much does a virtual field trip cost?

A 45-minute facilitated program is $125 per class of 32 students. Virtual Verticals are $150 per class.

What are your payment, rescheduling, and cancellation policies?

Groups must pay in full at least 72 hours in advance of the program. If you need to reschedule or cancel your virtual field trip, please contact the Education Office (212-932-7347) at least 72 hours in advance. If you fail to do so, you will be charged the full program rate.

Can I visit the Cathedral in-person with my class?

Yes, the Cathedral is open for on-site group visits. Please fill out the Guided Group Visit Registration Form to schedule a visit. Please read the Cathedral’s most updated health and safety policies on our website.

Will the virtual field trip be live from the Cathedral?

Our educators are at home and not in the Cathedral. However, every virtual field trip includes images from the Cathedral, as well as discussion questions and activities.

What accommodations do you make for groups who have special needs?

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all students are welcome. Please contact us to discuss any special needs prior to your program date. We are more than happy to discuss all the options available.
