Members of the Dean’s Council support the Cathedral and its programs by making annual gifts of $10,000 or higher. Support at this level enable Cathedral leadership to pursue strategic initiatives that advance key programs and facilities projects. Examples include support for our Great Bronze Doors repair, winterizing our Sunday soup kitchen, and the creation of an Organ Scholar to foster diversity in the field of organ virtuosity and to lead our Schola Cantorum, a youth choir for students in neighboring public schools. Member of the Dean’s Council receive special updates from the Dean of the Cathedral and other Cathedral clergy and lay leaders and are key voices in shaping the future of the Cathedral. Society of Regents
The Society of Regents is a vibrant group of Cathedral leaders who support the Cathedral with annual gifts between $2,500 and $9,999. They serve as volunteers with many of the Cathedral’s programs and are outspoken, passionate ambassadors for our mission. The Society of Regents provides advice and counsel to the Board of Trustees as needed. Regents have helped raise awareness of hunger in our community, supported elevating and enriching art and music events, and raised funds to enable working families to have equal access through financial aid to our award winning enrichment programs and summer camps through the Advancing the Community of Tomorrow (ACT) program. The 1047 Collective is a platform for community leaders aged 25 – 40 years old that inspires active citizenship in West Harlem and New York City at large by advancing Saint John the Divine’s civic, artistic, and spiritual initiatives and the Cathedral’s historic role as a space for the dynamic exchange of ideas, cultures, and urgent social issues.
