From 9:30 PM to midnight, the Cathedral offers two complementary experiences:

• In the Great Choir and Crossing, a contemplative reading of Dante’s Inferno unfolds — a rich and meditative encounter with one of the great spiritual texts.

• In the Communications Bay, the Altar of Repose — using the Nakashima Altar for Peace — becomes the center of a silent vigil. The Peace Altar, crafted by master woodworker George Nakashima as a symbol of reconciliation and unity, holds the reserved sacrament and invites prayerful presence in quiet stillness.
