Screening of "Familiar Touch"
Join us for a special screening of Familiar Touch, the 2024 film written, directed, and produced by Sarah Friedland in her narrative feature directorial debut. The story follows an octogenarian woman (Kathleen Chalfant) as she transitions to life in assisted living and contends with her conflicting relationship to herself and her caregivers while also dealing with her cognitive decline.
After the film, the Very Rev. Winnie Varghese, Dean of the Cathedral, will facilitate a discussion with the film’s star, Kathleen Chalfant, and Nicole Jorwic, the Chief of Programs at Caring Across Generations, the film’s impact partner.
