The Cathedral is proud to host the Graz Boys Choir for a special Holy Week concert, offered free and in-person.

The Boys' Choir “Grazer Kapellknaben” was founded in April 2003 by Matthias Unterkofler and grew up to a choir school with 90 boys and young men. The choir sees itself in the tradition of the great European boys’ choirs and is aware of the challenges of the 21st century. Modern pedagogy is combined with skills as self-organization, reliability, and appreciation to each other.

From 2005 on the choir and soloists perform at Austrian Opera houses, churches, and concert halls. The boys sing the great repertoire of Bach, Mozart, Haydn, and Mendelssohn as well as folk songs. International tours within Europe and into the US and Australia brings the sound of the choir close to many people. CD records, radio and television productions are also part of the task.
