All are invited to attend the opening of Community Creations: Nature, Spaces, and You, a youth-created art exhibition in the Cathedral of St. John the Divine.

Over the past weeks, kids attending our Advancing the Community of Tomorrow summer camp explored the idea of community as the intersection of three elements: nature, people, and space. The Cathedral building and grounds served as a place where students uncovered these relationships through conversation, observation, sketching, and the use of unconventional art materials.

During today's opening, students from the camp will present their work, and families can participate in art-making activities throughout the afternoon.

Community Creations: Nature, Spaces, and You is made possible in part with public funds from Creative Learning, supported by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by LMCC. LMCC serves, connects, and makes space for artists and community.
