NYBC Blood Drive at the Cathedral

The Cathedral is proud to partner with the New York Blood Center for a blood drive on Monday, March 1. Appointments are encouraged. To schedule a time, visit the New York Blood Center's website. For donors who have received a COVID-19 vaccine, below is the most current information from the FDA regarding the safety of donating blood after innoculation:
+ If you received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, you may donate immediately after vaccination as long as you are feeling well and all other donor criteria are met.
+ If you received the AstraZeneca, you may donate 2 weeks after vaccination as long as you are feeling well and all other donor criteria are met.
+ You may NOT donate COVID-19 convalescent plasma after you have been vaccinated, however, regardless of the type of vaccine you received.
