J.S. Bach’s jubilant motet Singet dem Herrn is a virtuosic tour-de-force for double chorus. Alongside it, Musica Sacra will perform music by Buxtehude, one of Bach’s mentors and musical heroes. His motet Cantate Domino continues the joyful theme, as does Scarlatti’s setting of the Te Deum. Closing the program is Scarlatti’s extraordinarily dramatic Stabat Mater for 10-part choir.

There will be a Pre-Concert Recital by the Newark Boys Chorus starting at 7 pm.
