Music From Home: César Franck, "Hear my cry, O God"
Christina Kay, soprano, and Jie Yi, piano, who work together as administrators in our music department, came together to record this beautiful setting of Psalm 61 by César Franck.
Of the work, Christina wrote, "Franck's setting of Psalm 61 is a simple prayer of faith, reminding God's people that he is their 'shelter' and 'strong tower' when their hearts are overwhelmed. This rings especially true now, as we try to ground ourselves in the midst of uncertainty and fear. We hope this piece brings comfort and beauty."
