Eggstravaganza, a children's egg decorating workshop, is one of our favorite events of the year so Cathedral educator Ashley Frenkel wanted to teach us how we can decorate eggs with household items.

The materials you will need to recreate this at home are:

• Hard boiled eggs
• Water
• White vinegar
• Mesh strainer
• Slotted spoon/s
• Pots and saucepans
• Bowls
• Natural color sources such as: turmeric, onion skins, teas, cabbage, beets, coffee, etc.
