Music From Home: Kent Tritle

Director of Music Kent Tritle plays J. S. Bach's Toccata in F Major, BWV 540. Of the piece, Mr. Tritle says, "This one of Bach's most virtuosic pieces. The opening features a spectacular pedal cadenza that goes up to a famously treacherous high F on the pedalboard. After the descent from that high F the piece is launched, and a joyous dance it is!"

Excellent playing; thanks! It would be interesting to know something about the instrument used in recordings such as this. As an organist, I wish more information like this was available. However, I very much enjoy seeing and hearing your music. Thank you!

Thank you Kent This piece carried me from the keys to the pedals to your hands and right out that window to my heart. What a wonderful way to start the day!
