Cathedral From Home: The Rev. Canon Patti Welch

In this week's Cathedral From Home, we check in with the Rev. Canon Patti Welch on her adjustment to online teaching at The Cathedral School of St. John the Divine and how she's holding up as she prepares to leave the Cathedral after 17 years and will be moving across the country in the middle of a pandemic.

We'll miss Canon Welch so much and it's touch to have to say a virtual goodbye, but we're grateful she took some time for this conversation before she goes. Please leave any comments for her below!

Wishing you all the best, Patti. You've been a blessing for the Cathedral. I remember clearly when it was announced that you would become permanent. I was so happy. You are going to a beautiful part of the country. Enjoy it. You will be a blessing there too.

I feel deserted, yet happy that the Cathedral's loss will be Portland's gain! If I can find out which Lutheran church you'll be taking on, I'll alert the Kriefall remnants in the area--they'll come & check you out!God's peace to you and yours!

Patti,When I count my blessings, I’ll be sure to include the 17 years that I was able to spend with you. I’m sure the church in Portland is waiting expectantly for you to begin your tenure there, but they can’t possibly know how fortunate they are. All the best to you, Lee, and the boys!
