School and Youth Programs

Did you know that New York's Cathedral of St. John the Divine is the length of six blue whales and the height of a twelve-story building?

Our secular education programs enhance any subject area, including visual arts, English language arts, mathematics, comparative religions, and an array of social studies topics. They also enhance 21st century skills like creativity, critical thinking, and global competency. Through inquiry, close looking, object-based learning, and hands-on activities, we provide visitors of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities the opportunity to experience the Cathedral in exciting and stimulating ways.

Guided tours at the Cathedral enhance classroom curricula through VTS, inquiry, observation, and object-based learning. Cathedral Educators lead students in programs that support Common Core Learning Standards and adapt to the needs and interests of each group.
