Hebrew Bible Study

On Wednesday nights, rabbinical students from Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) lead a conversation on the Jewish lectionary readings for the week following the traditional Jewish method of study. No knowledge of Hebrew is necessary and all are welcome. Part of time is spent in pairs or groups of three reading a small portion of Scripture and discussing what it means for each of our traditions, practices, beliefs, and care for society. Then, we all gather back together to discuss as a group. Coffee, tea, and treats are provided.

These events take place on Wednesday evenings in Cathedral House, which is located in the middle of the Cathedral's Close. Attendees should enter the Close via the driveway just south of the Cathedral's main entrance at 112th Street, check in at the security booth on the right, and proceed to Cathedral House. You can download a map of the Close here. For more information, contact Steven Lee at slee@stjohndivine.org or (212) 316-7483.
