Discover the rich imagery in the Cathedral and learn to "read" the stories portrayed in the statues, stained glass, and architecture.  Discover the variety of ways people use symbols, both today and throughout history.  Discuss what the symbols in the Cathedral say about this grand structure and its unique mission.  Optional Hands-On Activity: Design a symbol for a 21st Century cathedral.

Symbols Workshop

Explore the meaning of symbols by telling your story.  Choosing your own symbols, create a    coat of arms, sculpt a statue, and illuminate a manuscript page that describes and illustrates   your narrative.
