The Cathedral Choristers

The Cathedral Choristers
This ensemble of 20-30 students draws from the 4th through 8th grade classes of the Cathedral School. The chorister program was founded when the Cathedral School opened its doors in 1901. These young musicians continue this proud tradition, leading services at the Cathedral as well as participating in exciting outside projects. Recent performances include concerts at Carnegie Hall, a music video with Placido Domingo and the Piano Guys, a performance at the opening of the 2015 Saks Fifth Avenue Christmas celebration, Evensong at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C., and a week’s residency leading services at Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin and Westminster Abbey, London. In August 2019, the Choristers will return to St. Paul’s Cathedral, London for a week’s residency leading the cathedral's liturgies.
