CATHEDRAL HOURS
Monday - Saturday, from 7 AM to 6 PM,
Sunday 7 AM - 7 PM, July and August the Cathedral closes at 6 PM on Sundays

Cathedral Shop: A temporary shop has been opened and is located at the west end of the Cathedral just inside the south doors.
Grounds and Gardens: Open during daylight hours
Access: The Cathedral is wheelchair accessible through the113 street ramp. Inside the Cathedral ramps are available to reach the chapels, unfortunately the bathrooms are not accessible at this time.

Public Tours
Individuals and groups less than 10 people are invited to attend the following:
Tuesday - Saturday at 11 AM and Sunday at 1 PM
Walk through the bustling nave and through the serene chapels to learn about this grand structure. $3 per person. Meet at Visitors' Center.
 

Vertical Tours
Have been suspended due to fire. Climb 124 feet up spiral stone staircases to the top of the Cathedral for spectacular views. $10 per person. Reservations required. To make reservations call 212-932-7350.

Group Toursand School Group Tours are available by reservation, Tuesday through Saturday between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. A group is 10 or more people.

Family Medieval Arts Workshop
Saturdays 10 AM-12 PM

DIRECTIONS TO THE CATHEDRAL

By Public Transport
The Cathedral is located at 112th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, one block east of Broadway. By subway, take the 1 or 9 train to the 110th Street / Cathedral Parkway station. By bus take the 4 or 104 to Broadway and 112th Street or the 11 to Amsterdam Avenue and 112th Street.

By Car
From the George Washington Bridge and Westchester: Take the Henry Hudson Parkway south. Exit at 125th St. (turn left onto 125th St.) At third light, make a right on Amsterdam Ave.

From Long Island:Take the Throgs Neck Bridge to Cross Bronx Expressway. Approaching the George Washington Bridge, keep right to Henry Hudson Parkway South. Go to the 96th Street Ramp. On 96th Street, go across three avenues (West End, Broadway, Amsterdam). On Amsterdam, turn left and travel up to 112th street.
Or Take the Midtown Tunnel to 34th Street, Cross 34th Street to Tenth Avenue. Go right on 10th Ave to 112th Street (Tenth Avenue becomes Amsterdam at 72nd Street).

From New Jersey: Holland or Lincoln Tunnel to Henry Hudson Parkway (also called the West Side Highway). Go Uptown (North) to 96th Street, go across three avenues (West End, Broadway, Amsterdam). On Amsterdam, turn left and travel to 112th street.

PARKING
There is no public parking on the grounds of the Cathedral.
GROUP TOURS may park their bus or van outside the Cathedral on Amsterdam Ave. while they are visiting the Cathedral, bt 9AM-5PM. Individual cars may park at the one of the garages listed below (call for rates), or find street parking.
