During my recent visit to New York with our church choir I was grateful for the wonderful kindness and hospitality I received everywhere I went. It is therefore with particular shock that I have heard today's appalling news. We have opened the church here, which is usually locked during the week, and many people have come in to offer prayers and to light candles. Please be assured of the prayers of all of us here at St. Mary's at this awful time.
Your brother in Christ,
Fr. Stuart Owen, Curate, St. Mary's, Hendon, London.

Dear Friends: Just to let you know that Canadian friends, including those in the Anglican (Episcopal) Diocese of Ottawa are thinking of and praying for you in this time of tragedy in New York and Washington and Pittsburg. Vigils and Masses are being offered thoughout as well as in other communities of faith. Tonight I had a Confirmation in a small farming village near Ottawa. Afterwards the 30 of us gathered in a circle to pray for victims, the wounded in many ways, for a world at peace and for you our neighbours. +Peter.
Rt.Rev. Peter R.Coffin, Ottawa, Canada

God bless you all.
