New Hope Men's Shelter

The issue of homelessness is addressed through an on site direct service program for homeless men and off-site individual & group counseling, and technical assistance services offered through partner faith based and community organizations. These programs are staffed by the CCC Social Worker, Intake Coordinator and MSW interns.

CCC runs a full-time residence facility housing up to eight homeless men for up to six months with aftercare services available upon completion of the program. The ultimate goal of the program is both to place the men in permanent housing and to engender the life skills necessary for sustained self-sufficiency and employment once the men have completed the program.

Participants in the highly structured shelter program also participate in computer and job skills training through the Community Impact JEEP program (Jobs Education Empowerment Project).  Since the shelter shares space with the CCC offices, the entire staff contributes to assisting the men in the program with clinical support provided by the social worker and MSW candidates.

For inquiries and to make a referral contact Victor Carrera, Intake/Program Coordinator at 212.316.7584, or Dr. Maxine Lynn, PhD., Social Worker at 212.316.7469. All information is confidential.
