OUR CORE
PROGRAM Our complete catolog includes brief descriptions
of theme activities and trip options. Our philosophy, which
stems from our seven core values (fun, child centered, learning,
organization, diversity, teamwork and safety ) frames behaviors
we exhibit with children, staff and program activities. Our
child-centered approach dictates that we listen and offer
options that enhance a child’s sense of self. Diverse activities
ensure that everyone’s experience is different and appropriate.
Outside artist and experts are hired to
create specialized learning moments. All plans are subject
to change and may not be listed herein as many are developed
with the children in attendance. The theme for the day sets
the tone for the daily offerings and is expressed in a balanced
schedule that includes physical and creative outlets, and
outdoor fun. Games requiring teamwork, cooking with community
minded outcomes, art to be shared and nurtured are all part
of the experience we offer. A trip may be cancelled if interest
is lacking or other pursuits are more attractive. Trip
K-2 grade campers can at times choose
to stay at ACT or go on a trip. Each program day
(9:30 AM 4 PM) consist of theme-based activities and trip
choices. Campers are divided into age-appropriate groups to
enjoy and choose among favorite club ACTivities or trips to
points of interest around the City
Campers above 2nd grade stay
with a counselors who is ready to develop activities for them
or go on special trips .
