PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

The Cathedral of St. John the Divine embraces the celebration of life through the arts. Visiting choirs are welcome to perform within this soaring architectural symphony of stone and glass.

AN OVERVIEW:
• Choirs may schedule performances Mondays –Fridays by availability.
• A Yamaha Concert Grand CF III piano is available.
• Buses may park FREE in front of the Cathedral.
• Please bring your own music stands, as the Cathedral cannot supply them.
• Recording devices must be battery powered, as there is no access to an electrical outlet.

ARRANGEMENTS AND FEES:
• Choir sings are scheduled as thirty minutes in length and additional time may be arranged.
• A cappella sings cost $200.00 per half hour.
• There is an additional fee of $50.00 for use of the piano.
• Fees are payable upon receipt of the Confirmation Form.
• Please make checks payable to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine and send to The Public
Education and Visitor Services Department.
• Repertoire will need to be approved. It can be faxed to Marnie Prevost at 212-316-7424.
• Orchestras are welcomed to perform by special arrangement, please call 212-316-7590 for
more information.

UPON ARRIVAL:
• Choirs are requested to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to their performance to check in at
the Visitor Center.
• Choristers should arrive at the Cathedral dressed and ready to sing, as the Cathedral
cannot provide a dressing or warm-up room.
• Choirs are welcome to use the first few minutes of their performance time for warm-up.
