An Evening with Robert Bly

 

Renowned poet Robert Bly, poet of the deep image; writer of many poems opposing war; and author of the international bestseller Iron John, which gave mythic form to the men’s movement will read from his new book Talking Into The Ear of A Donkey .

Accompanying Mr. Bly will be members of the The Lian Ensemble. Established in 1997 by Pirayeh Pourafar, Houman Pourmehdi and Mahshid Mirzadeh and based in Los Angeles, The Lian Ensemble is comprised of musicians whose diverse and uniquely versatile musical styles lend to a rare blend of mystical world music.

* Ali Nourbakhsh on Daf and Dayereh;
* Amir Koushkani on Tar and Setar;
